I'm super stressed about preparing for exams and always worry that I won't be able to study. We're both on different campuses, and every time I go to her it takes me three hours, and I feel like she's especially relaxed, while I just want to bury my head in my studies every day. I plan to see her once a week to hang out with her, but she always wants me to spend more time with her.
I really don't know how to fix this
Hi, there! Let me start by giving you a big hug through the air. It's great to see you sharing this obsession and I hope my advice will give you some support and inspiration. It's been great that you've realized the conflict that comes with being in a different state than your girlfriend during test prep and reached out for help.
I can see that your anxiety mainly comes from the worry that spending too much time with your girlfriend will crowd the revision time and affect the result of the exam. In fact, you can frankly talk to your girlfriend about your concerns and express your need for her understanding and tolerance. What do you think?
Try asking yourself why you are afraid to voice these concerns directly. Is it possible that you would like to spend more time with her and enjoy relaxing time to relieve stress, but are afraid of feeling guilty if you indulge yourself? This may reflect some stress patterns within you. Would you say that's right?
If the revision time is really tight, you do not want to delay the study, but also do not want to cold feet girlfriend, you can discuss a balanced program with together. For example, meet two or three times a week, meet completely relaxed, do not mention the study, wholeheartedly accompanied, to improve the quality of time together. Is this okay?
I noticed that you mentioned that you are nervous, if this kind of emotion persists, it will rather affect the efficiency of exam preparation. People learn better when they are in a relaxed state oh. So, why don't you learn from your girlfriend's relaxed state of mind, and learn to regulate it even more when you're stressed. Right?
I'm Lilly the Answer House Little Ears, the world and I love you.
